End of a cool summer
I had the perfect ending to and amazingly fashion filled summer I was fortunate enough to attend an after show party at whisky mist where I did spend allot of time in the Que, but never the less was that bit closer to being part of the fashion industry.
outrageous fashion
The last day at the stand was a lot quieter than the previous days but it gave me a great chance to see what all of the people attending LFW were wearing and how amazingly outrageous some of them looked , Even if you cant manage to get an internship its worth the time to just go and sit in a coffe shop and outside somerset house and watch all the crazy outfits that wonder in and out.
Selling ISSI
I am an extremely shy person but I had to learn very quickly at LFW how to be confident and outgoing so that people would look at the brand , I also had to know my product and everything that was to know about it , The RRP/whole sale price where it came from how long an order would take, but it taught me so much about the industry and myself it was defiantly worth the 3 hour daily commute.
Estethica brunch
While interning at LFW I was given the opportunity to attend an Estethica Brunch which was amazing to see . There were some influential talks given through the morning and it was good to mingle through talking to people and learning their backgrounds and how they have got where they have. I would advise and internship to any fashion student out there it is a must !
Bringing fashion back
At london fashion week a designer that was doing really well was she died of beauty, Seeing these designs took me back t bath museum where I saw some of the designs of the year , Its crazy how you can have a design recreate its popularity over a few years , this designer especially caught attention from the materials they used to create there garments .I also love the photograph I think tat its great and captures the brad image perfectly.
My pass to LFW
I finally on my "cool journey" found my unique style that got me noticed at LFW as I walked in on my first morning I was amazed by all of the outrageous styles and fashions that I saw so the following day I raided my wardrobe for my unique look .These boots were my pass to cool , A few photographers out side the event were asking for photographs and it maybe of just my feet but every girl loves a bit of attention .
David Batchelor- From Art to fashion
I had a lot of contact with david Batchelor during my internship and managed to look at his work and see how it was incorporated with the ISSI products , It was really good to see how the art had been brought into the collection , and how passionate the girls were about there products and what they stood for. The david batchelor pieces were proving to be very popular and were going down well with the press he reason for this was looking to be as the pieces of art themselves were very expensive, so to have a clutch or a purse/ wallet with this art on it was an extremely reasonable price to pay for a piece of art with style.
